Sponsor Prayer

God of all ages, You send out your Spirit to touch the hearts of people

so that they may believe in you and in Jesus, whom You sent.

Look kindly on all our catechumens and candidates and grant them the grace to hear your voice and turn to you with all their hearts. Open their hearts to your Spirit and bring to fulfillment the good work you have begun in them. May your will be done in their lives.

Loving, gracious God, send your Holy Spirit upon me.

Make me an instrument of your love.

Guide me on this journey that I may be a true witness to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the teachings and traditions of the His Church.

Put your thoughts in my heart and your words in my mouth that I will fulfill this ministry with goodness, generosity, wisdom, love, and grace.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
